Writing Tutors

Our Portland writing tutors unlock your child’s narrative ability to help them craft compelling stories and teach the techniques needed to ace standardized tests and college admissions essays.

Writing is more of an art than a science. There is no “right” way to write. But there are a number of rules and best practices to follow. Our founder, Eric Earle, found his passion for writing while in college. He wrote every single day for well over one year. He will be the first to tell you, this changed him. He became a writing rock-star. Writing taught him how to tell stories. And it helped him in so many ways. Eric credits his writing ability to much of his success in life. It helped him land jobs after college (resume, cover letters, emails). It helped him achieve higher scores in nearly every college course. And it taught him a lot about himself.

We know you. These benefits are all great. But, you want tangible results right now. Learning to write better will help your child in every high school class. It will help them with their college admission essay. And, importantly, it will tangibly improve their current grades in English class (most likely, history, too).

Our writing tutors all have their own unique approach to writing and tutoring. Their approach depends on the qualities of each student and the situation they currently find themselves in. The one common thread is that all of our writing tutors tutor Eric first. Our founder hand-selects our tutors. All of our writing tutors also have, or are currently working their way towards their college degree.
